Au contraire, Tay, and your statement is not quite accurate. He has publicly stated (you can do a little research and check for yourself) that he is not against immigrants, per se, but does require them to go through the proper immigration process to become U.S. citizens, participating and contributing to the country. He has also publicly stated that criminals, especially the highly violent ones that have been entering the country and terrorizing and killing valid U.S. citizens, are not welcome and he will do whatever it takes to keep them from coming to the U.S. Because his loyalty is to the legal citizens of the country, first and foremost. EVERY COUNTRY has in place the immigration procedures and laws necessary to protect the sovereignty and viability of that country and her citizens, and has an absolute right and responsibility to do so. The U.S. is no different. I am absolutely certain that Luis, like my friend that I mentioned in my response to his comment, did go through the necessary immigration process, and therefore should not be lumped with the millions of those who did not, including those violent criminals, and who are bankrupting the U.S., being given for free and with no contributions to the country, millions of dollars in benefits, paid for by U.S. citizens who not only made such benefits possible, intended for the valid citizenry, but who themselves are struggling to make ends meet. In case you wonder where I am coming from, I am Mexican, my family has been in the U.S. from the start, including a land grant from the King of Spain, long before Arizona became a part of the U.S. Likewise, my family has also been a part of Mexican history. And I do NOT support Mexicans — or anyone else — just crossing the border, making themselves at home, taking all they can at others’ expense, while failing to abide by the laws of the country and failing to contribute like an honest and true citizen. Such people are not honorable human beings and they do not have more rights than anyone else, regardless of their situation. Period.
