FLOWER FROLICS
Forget-me-nots just watch themselves
In ponds that mirror sheer conceit.
In pots that sit on kitchen shelves
Petunias bask in self-defeat.
The rose is but a rhapsody,
The daisy a simple song,
The pansy a velvet pixie
That in mischief does no wrong.
But laughter is the flower of life –
The simple cure for pain and strife.
