There is far too much hatred in the world, these days, so this posted poem is an effort to awaken awareness to its energy in our world, in the hope of curtailing further participation in its destructiveness.

My eyes, they burn with pain

To see the anger swell —

A scarlet splash. How well

They ravage and they stain

The holy depth of heart.

The calm that follows such

Upheavals of their souls

Portends no peace-filled goals.

Their victories do much

To aim Destruction’s dart.
