So … last night, I was thinking about synesthesia as I was falling asleep, was thinking of writing about it, and then today, I checked out your work when I saw that you had started following me, and voila — saw your piece about synesthesia. This “connection” was obviously totally unexpected, and isn’t Life is a trip! I believe I have mild sound-vision synesthesia, which I have experienced all my life but did not know what it was until years ago, when I came across the term. At night, as I fall asleep sometimes, if there is a certain range of sound (like the snapping sound of furniture or glass adapting to a temperature change) I see a flash of light in my head. It always makes me smile. Thanks for posting this very informative piece on the subject.
