A porcelain sky

Of cornflower blue,

The sun, it melts anew

The gold of yesterday.

And clouds swirl by

Through dances fast and gay.

Below, the hills lay spread,

A vast expanse of green

Too hilly to be seen

As one continuous mass.

Meandering rivers led

Toward the end of day.

Alas!
