Thanks for tackling this topic. Yes, I agree our society has become addicted to these electronics, and there are plenty of science-based reasons for it, but like the current opioid crisis, I do believe this was by design, in order to serve the obscene profits of the corporations involved. So, it is up to us to intervene on our own behalf. Among other aspects of this issue, it is heart-breaking to me to watch our youth lost in their cell phones, sitting right next to each other, and therefore failing to do what is otherwise 100% natural for humans: to interact, communicate and connect. Technology should serve humanity, not undermine our very nature.
